One of my favorite things to hear is when someone says “My carpet is just too dirty to be cleaned”. Another one is “My carpet needs to be replaced, it’s beyond hope”. Its like these folks are professional carpet inspectors and know, with no doubt, that the carpet is spent. I like to show them this picture, which I have titled ‘Peoria Stain and Spill Removal’. As an 11 year veteran in this industry, I know two things are certain.

1. Replacing Carpet is expensive.

2. Sometimes, Carpet will surprise you.

Let us take a look at these pictures named ‘Peoria Stain and Spill removal’. In them you will see the mess our poor client moved into left from the previous homeowner. Peoria Stain and Spill Removal – Cleaning Process

In a case such as this, it is important to know that we will be forced to use restorative cleaning processes to remove maximum soil. This is not the preferred method, regular maintenance is best, but restorative cleaning can work and do so effectively. The image is a bit blurry, but, if you look close, you can see a few blue, pink, and purple spots, as well as the obvious black spots. The bright colored spots are caused by nail polish and children’s modeling clay.  These will require special treatment after the cleaning is completed to remove the vast majority of the traffic and light spills.

Peoria Stain and Spill Removal – After

Peoria Stain and Spill RemovalAs you can see, we were able to successfully remove all the spots, spills, stains, and general wear and tear. This client was very pleased with the final product we were able to provide. Now, there is one question you may want to know…

“Why did it clean up so well?!”

Simple answer – We at First Class Green Cleaning are quite good at what we do, and the carpet had enough life in it to resist the damage brought upon it by the previous answer.

Complicated answer – During our thorough evaluation, we judged the chemistry of the stains, used the proper spotters and treatment products to liquefy the excess particles on the carpet. One other thing noted during the initial inspection was that the carpet was quite young and had never been previously cleaned. This is important as it meant a good deal of protective coating applied by the manufacture remained.

So, next time you say “My carpet is shot, there is no point in you coming out to clean it”, think about my ‘Peoria Stain and Spill Removal’ images and have us come out to give you a thorough evaluation of your carpets cleanability.custom_fbcustom_twtrfirst-icon-2
