Cove Base Phoenix
If you are not in the industry, the trim along the wall in several commercial settings (restaurants, doctor’s offices, etc) may not stand out to you. These little strips of plastic, rubber, tile, stone or carpet are called cove base. Here at First Class Green Cleaning, we can help you build cove base from your carpet. From deciding how much carpet you will need to producing perfectly cut, bound strips, to even finding a great installer if you need, we are here for you. If you are not familiar, here are some basic steps in our end, as we only manufacture the pieces that installers will use at your home, office, or business.
The carpet comes in just as it generally does, twelve feet wide. You decide how tall you want the cove base to be and we can tell you exactly how many linear feet you will be able to get out of any size piece of carpet. Using a special cutting tool, we cut the carpet into strips of the desired width (or height, once installed)
Once cut, the carpet is then fed into a machine that fold material over one side and stitches it on to give a clean look. This is known as Binding, and can be used in a lot of different places like area rugs or even installed carpet (if such an accent is desired). When installed, the binding will be at the top so that you do not have a tattered mess showing. Binding can be made to blend in and be hardly noticeable, or used as a striking contrast to enhance the color of the carpet. The choice is up to you.
Once the strips are bound together, we will roll them into large, yet manageable sized circles. This makes it easy to transport, and easy to pull off so that your installer can focus on doing a great job, instead of fighting a mess of carpet strips.
In commercial settings, cove base can contrast and enhance the appearance of the flooring, be made to blend seamlessly, or simply be a form of protection to the wall. Whatever your reason, call First Class Green Cleaning, and we can help you get it made so that you can install it into one room, office, or an entire building.
