Phoenix Sofa Cleaning
This client called to have us clean the carpet in her home and pick up some area rugs for washing in our shop. While our technician was evaluating the work to be performed, the client asked if we knew any good upholstery shops. She had a twenty year old once white sofa that she felt needed re-covering. It should be stated that we do indeed know a very good re-upholstery shop. When cleaning white cotton furniture, it is important to clean it with gentle products and to dry it quickly. These images show the arms of the two matching sofas that were cleaned in our designated cleaning area in the clients home (note the plastic used to protect the wood floor). The technician pretreated the fabric, gently agitated it to loosen the soil that was built up over years, then allowed adequate dwell time. This allows the fabric to be properly lubricated. This way, the dirt will simply rinse away in the extraction process.

Here we see some of the differences our technician was able to get while cleaning the seat cushions of this piece. It is generally expected that the seat cushions will take a heavier beating than the rest of the sofa. This generally means a slight increase in the amount of pretreat, dwell time or agitation. As you can see by the bottom image, he was able to remove a massive amount of soil. Now, he swears the top two images are different cushions, I will let you be the judge.
